Loving this book

So, I finally got my copy in the mail and love it so far. It is a bit out of date, but she puts in words and explains things that I have felt about creating. I always talk about how I'm not creative, but she does not allow that out; not only that but then tells me how I am indeed creative, I just didn't realize it. Great pick, Darby!

I echo those thoughts Lisa! I love the drawings and thought that obviously went into this book.

On an outdated note, do you think we'd actually be allowed to burn candles in hotels? She speaks of setting a table, lighting candles, and serving sandwiches. Sorry Edith, I still prefer eating out.

ha! two words. room service.
but i agree with you both - she gives me a spark of hope that "creativity" can be defined more broadly than just "able to draw" or "sews clothes" (neither of which i can do). she makes me feel like the everyday things (cooking and house work) "count" as being creative.
